Hi All

Probably been asked a thousand times but had a look and couldn't find the answerer I was looking for

Is it possible to stream live channels from the duo to my other tele using dlna? I've seen the dlna server plugin but only seems to list the hard drives on my server and nothing about live streaming the sly channels??

Also tried the mini dlna server which crashed full stop. (running Vix firmware 166)

Sorry for such a daft question again................

chuf.

DLNA appears to be a bit flaky at best. Your best option is to have a cheapish E2 box and using it as a client from your main receiver.

Hi,
the only reports about Live TV over DLNA was with MediaTomb but as itīs not further developed I have my doubts that it is still possible.

If you have a Samsung F-,G- or H-Type TV look for Pembos E2Stream.

ciao

interested in this - any specific VU or miracle box that you would recommend to run as a client?

I have a duo2 as main receiver and use a zero from it. Works brilliantly, even better since the team sorted a settings issue caused by my favourite channel list.

Thats good to know

how simple is it to point the Zero to the main receiver?
Does the main receiver need be a VU or can it be any enigma 2 box (miracle)?
What does the interface look like - is it the default UI or a different UI?

Thanks again.

Get remotestreamchannelconverter plugin from the feeds. Go into the tuner setup, this is on the zero, tell the machine the ip address for your main receiver and it'll download the entire channel list from the main receiver. It works exactly like the main receiver then except it'll say the ip address of the main receiver at the end of the channel.

thats great - if it works well then I rather go down this path as supposed to a media streamer.

It's almost flawless mate. I even connect to the HDD to view recordings. So much better than that well known extractor of cash from pockets.

Did you also consider a Technomate Nano SE when buying the VU Zero? - WOS have a deal currently @ GBP89 which looks like a bargain.

Thanks

EDIT - decided to go with the VU due to the better remote control.

Walt

Am I correct in thinking this is a stream setup, how does it perform on HD channels?

I've managed to get Plex setup which seems to be performing perfectly fine. If anyone is interested then here is the thread
