they said that last week so thought it'd be soon.

we never give out ETA's but the release will be soon, we are just working through final testing on a few things. as for the name you will have to wait for that but it is along the same theme as the last images.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say i'm expecting Athena. Can you say if it's likely within next 2 weeks? as if not i'll flash my mates box to 166 until the new one comes out.

I'll narrow it down a bit, it's not a female God, as for the release all I can say is it's imminent providing we don't find any issues that would prevent a release.

It will take as long as it take do you want a buggy image or a good working image? Yeah it's good news, but just chill it will come. But keep up the great work VIX team!

Is it sad that i'm looking forward to the new image even though i'm happily running 166 without any problems and I know that for the new image, most things are behind the scene changes rather than changes/additions that I may make use of in some way :) :) :)

To be honest I have quite enjoyed the wait , I have learnt things that I thought I would never be able to do i.e. Dreamboxedit,Filezilla and DCC . See some things come to us old gits that cack there pants every time there is a update.:D

Well, since you told us you're using build #0 I'm pretty sure there are plenty of updates for you :)

Yeah, likely.
Just as likely that it lasts longer :)

One never knows how long it takes to fight the last bugs and haw many new bug will be born in the meantime :eek:
And we're not being paid to hurry.

Anyway: don't hold your horses. Of course, some improvements will show, but most of the changes are not in Enigma but in the OS (Linux), so they will hardly if ever be noticed.
