Hi guys, just had cable guy at house as broadband was playing up. Replaced my old hub with one of their "super hubs"
It works fine as is, but when I use my old splitter to allow me to use my cable box, the superhub stops "producing" broadband!
My question is, would a new splitter be required or can the signal not be split before the new superhub?
What have you guys used?
Cheers

You need a powered splitter, he has balanced your power levels at the box to work exactly with the connected equipment, any attempt to introduce a splitter is now resulting in about 2.5db per port loss for a 2 way, a 4 way splitter means more signal loss (should tell you on the splitter how much loss per port you are experiencing). Make sure you get a UK compatible one ( 120v will burn out).
