where did you get the card from ? did you buy it from sky ?.
i'm asking this because you must put the card into a sky box and pair it with that box so you can get the box key from the box for your CCcam.cfg file.

as phenonix said it needs the box key and it must be the one from the sky and box paired together

flebay cards have the problem of not having the box key available and no way round it

to be fair mate i dont understand why people buy cards from any other source when sky sell them legitimately for £20.

you say you can't get the box number - is this because it's broken?

if you can get the box number (digits 7-16 of 17-digit box number printed on the outside, then converted into hex) it's relatively simple to do. I used CCcam 2.2.something, waited about a day for the sky signal to come though enabling it, then it worked. I did find though that playing with the Bouquets could sometimes cause the freeview channels not to work - make sure you update the box from DBedit before trying.

i suspect it's more likely that he does not have a sky box but rather bought the card as is.
as for converting the box key into hex B16MCC makes a programme that will do the same thing and even create your CCcam.cfg file for you too.

I just use OSCAM version above 4039 and that seem to find the box key itself.
As when I use the freesat card it gets the box key, and when I put the card in for the movies it opens them as well and changes the boxkey.

You don't need the original Sky box, you do however need another Sky box which is attached to a phone line. Stick the card in your neighbhour/friends/grannys telephone attached Sky box and enter the Sky installers menu by pressing SERVICES, 4, 0, 1, SELECT.

Once in the installers menu click on New Installation, and then usual next next next on all the settings. The Sky box will then ring Sky, activate the card and pair it to the box it's in (it won't affect your grannys paired card at all). The Sky card will be activated and the FTV HD channels will now work. You don't need the Box Key unless you upgrade some time in the future to Movies and Sports and in that case use the Box Key generated from the box you just paired it with.

i never said it needed the original box and yes i do know that you can manually pair the card to any sky box. but untill the OP says otherwise i'm under the impression that he does not have any sky box or access to one.

I never said that you said it needed the original Sky box :) but the OP seems a bit confused and I thought a clear step by step guide would help. He might also have got his hands on a defunct BLUE Sky card, it should be a new WHITE one or else it will not work (this is aimed at OP!).

yes there are a lot of scammers on the likes of ebay selling now obsolete blue house cards.

my freesat sky card works without any change to the config file using CCcam 214 or 220 or 221, Ccam does it for me

You dont need a boxkey for non premium channels its only movies and sport that you need the boxkey for.

correct however as pointed out by Huevos the card must first be activated and that requires a SKY BOX.

Blimey what a carry on.
Add CCcam 2.2.1 and default cfg
Go to your webinterface and check the entitlements.
You will see from there if it will or wont work.
If you see entitlements then it will work,if they are out of date then wait for an update to land.

then i'd say the card has not been activated, as with even a old card you would see entitlement dates as above.
