Hi peeps,

When I playback mp4 film container files on my Mut@ant HD2400 and my Vu+ Solo2 I have a timer like icon (see picture) at the bottom of the film, does anybody know if this can be turned off anywhere in the settings? I am running the latest ViX image, build 166.

Press the audio button twice, option there to turn it off.

Thats brill, thanks Judge. Is there a way to permanently disable this option instead of having to do this on every playback?

Hello Andy I do not have any problem watching mp4 or avi movies on my Duo2 and I have a loads on my internal 3TB Hard Drive with just the default settings in Recording and Playback settings

Not sure Andy, it's only an issue the rare time with my downloads so haven't looked into it.
If you disable one of the subtitle options by default, it might sort it.

Its weird, it doesn't do it on my mkv or avi container formats but does on all my mp4 ones. lol.

Have you tried converting a mp4 file over to avi or mvk and see if it still dose it :)

I only ever see this on downloaded 1080p MKVs.
After transcoding using handbrake to m4v, it's gone.

Andy I have just tried a mp4 file on my Duo2 and it played fine no timeline or anything out of the ordinary on the picture here is a screen grab of my Recording & Playback settings so you can compare them against your settings

Could it be that the affected files actually have the running time set as a subtitle track?
And that re-encoding/re-muxing it loses this by default?

Hi buddy, got same settings as you so must be how my mp4's are ripped. Its no biggie pressing the Audio button twice to disable it tbh. Thanks for you help. [emoji106]🏼

Audio+Audio is the subtitle selection. See post #10.
