Hi, I am using the MediaPlayer2 plugin to play movies from my network drive as this player supports subtitles. The player itself uses the same skin as the default movie player that is used to play recordings etc. I would like to differentiate the inbuilt movie player from the MediaPlayer2 plugin by making it look different. Any ideas how I can go about doing this?

the code for skins is in the xml files in /usr/share/enigma2/<skin name> skin.xml

I understand that but how will I be able to make a different movie player skin just for that one particular plugin so that the original movie player retains the original skin?

ah ok
you can make a new user_skin.xml and put it in /etc/enigma2 and just the screens of the plugin you want in it

And how would that be linked to the actual plugin?

The image knows to look in this directory for user filed as long as you give it the correct name the image will do the rest.
