channels wont work through open webif but work fine on the box - any help please

Hi all

just noticed a problem today, all my channels work fine on the box itself, but iv just logged into open webif and tried watching one of my channels and it will not work for some reason, but its always been alright.

does anybody know what could be causing this, I have not updated or changed anything on the box in the last day or so, all iv done is done a manually update/download of the EPG through crossepg

have you rechecked ip is correct and does it list your box and you have refreshed the page?

yes I know the Ip for the box,

all the FTA channels load fine but any paid channels. wont work

you might want to check the descramble http streams is set to yes in the customise menu.

if on openwebif I cannot see that option in customize

ye the only thing iv changed was updating my box from blackhole 2.0.8 to 2.1.4

so im guessing something somewhere during the update has changed something, arghhhh

why not just go with openvix - what keeps you on blackhole :confused: ?

My box came with blackhole, and I like the interface, iv never had a problem with it,

so as the saying goes, if it aint broken don't try to fix it

only problem iv had with blackhole is this one not letting me watch my channels on openwebif

there is a little tick box on openwebif in the column on the left that says zap before stream....check the tick is in the box and try again

its working ok now, I guess I had an old cam active,

what does that zap before stream do? or mean?

that means it'll set the box on your STB to that you're trying to stream. So it someone was watching the box, it'll change the channel to the one you want to stream...
