Channels going blank

I updated to the latest version of vix (165) with a fresh install from scratch. Since I have if I change channels a few times the channels go blank and I have to restart the box to get them working again. Anyone else seen this issue?

Have you set up CrossEPG and ABM and saved your settings that could be your problem

No that's all setup fine. I had previously updated through the box to the latest image before reading about the fresh flash. It had this same issue and the fresh flash has not fixed it.

I flashed to an older version (140) and it looks to have fixed the issue

I'm on build 166 n no issues on all my boxes.

when you say fresh install with no settings restore you mean?

flash the box like it is new, flash image to most recent and then setup everything from new, without using back up. this should take 10 to 15 minutes to do.

Yes that's correct, installed as if new.

Still not really sure what your issue is to be honest. what exactly happens and please explain more about what you mean by channels going blank ?.

Ok, take the other day for instance, I was looking through the sky interactive channels. 1 channel had rugby on it, let's say channel 1401. If I hit channel up and nothing is on 1402 and then flick back to 1401 it was ok. If I then flick up to 1402, nothing on, then 1403, nothing on, then ch- back to 1401 it is now blank. If I type in a channel number, let's say 401, it is also blank. I then had to restart the box in order to view the channels again.
It also happened if I used TS media. If I looked at something and had to search through several links to find a working one, then went back to watching tv, the channels were again blank requiring a restart. Hope this makes sense.

I am still not sure what you mean by the channel going blank, do you mean the EPG (electronic program guide) is not showing data for that channel or the channel it self is not clearing ie it is staying black ?.

EPG was fine, the channel was just black/blank, as if I had no signal/not clearing

Sounds like a issue with what ever softcam you are using, be aware though we can not help with illegal methods of receiving pay tv channels (cardsharing).

Oh I understand that side of it, just odd that never had an issue till upgraded to 165, downgrading to 140 has solved the issue

No issues here with my Solo2 on the newest Apollo images or the new images either, that said I do not use the TSmedia plugin nor the Kodidirect one either.

Sounds like an issue with the channels your zapping to have no broadcast..not all the sly integrative channels broadcast at the same time...
Same happens in my lists..some have a broadcast some don't in sly interactive..they are not all live.

Same happens to me also. Can be watching some thing change channels and all goes blank forcing to restart the box.

I tried two fresh re-flashes, ended up going back to 140 to solve the issue

Just reading this thread, I also have the same problem since upgrading to Apollo 166, have checked everything else from Internet, dish, lnb etc.(all ok) and taken box to a different house the issue still happens, going to load new image tomorrow! so should I roll back image or go to newer image?
