No HDD found or HDD not initialised!

Can anyone please tell me Is fitting a 3 1/2 drive usually plug and play?

My receiver come flashed with W.O.S Vix image I can record to a memory stick but the receiver just does not seem to know the hard drive is fitted, any info would be appreciated.

Menu -> Setup -> System -> Storage devices -> Initialisation, is the drive seen there & have you initialised it?

It's not seeing the HDD so. Double check all cables are seated correctly.

Fitted a different HDD & checked cable, I can hear & feel disk start up, but receiver still not seeing it.

thought it was a 2.5 not 3.5 you need
