Hi all,

I'm trying to set up VPN following this tutorial http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?36336-Guide-to-setting-up-an-OpenVPN-server-on-Vix&highlight=vpn+server
It's running, but to connect to it I need to import clint.ovpn to iOS. Unfortunately I get this error:

My iPhone is jailbroken so I have access to the root, so perhaps there's a way for me to copy certificates and keys manually?

Any ideas will be much appreciated:cool:

Ok, I managed to copy config files via iTunes, but it doesn't seem to work for me just yet.

I tried with client.ovpn with key embedded and I tried with all 4 files.

Ok I got it working. iPhone connected, PC connected, but I am uncertain as to what now.

What is he next step to get the video streaming working and to get access to my network drives and other devices?

now connect to your box s vpn ip just like you would connect with its normal ip, use the vpn one.

Would the VPN IP be the one that starts with 10. by default?

Perfect, I can now watch tv on my iPhone via openVPN (safely I hope).

Now, can I use this openVPN to access the rest of my devices? Like network drives etc.

Did you terminate the VPN on your E2 box or on your router/modem?
If the latter, yes, you will have access to all devices on the network.
If on the box, you'll have access to whatever that box has access to.

I'm trying to understand how this VPN thing works.

What do you mean by terminating the VPN? I have seen this term before, but I'm just confused.

I'd appreciate if you could guide me in a right direction.

I have an Intel NUC running 24/7 with win7 and I tried setting up a VPN server on it, but I had no luck so I'm trying openVPN on my Duo box. I have HDDs connected to NUC and they are shared drives. I'd like those drives to be accessible on my Surface Pro via 3G/4G connection when I'm not within my wifi for example. Is this idea doable using Duo box?
