Yes blindscan is available for the Vu+ solo2 in fact it's probably the best Vu+ receiver for that if blindscan is something you really need.

It's not something I have ever paid any real attention to, like all other receivers signal strength / quality readouts are at best to be considered as a guide because they are not all that accurate and can differ wildly from receiver to receiver / tuner to tuner.

So I am in a marginal reception area for 28.2E UK spot beam.
Pixielation and or loss of signal is about 7.0dB for HD, SD channels can live a little bit longer.:)

did you experiment which box Is better capable of receiving weak signals - Vu Solo2 or Xtrend ET8500
