Hi, all!
I have one of the first GB Quads, it worked and worked all those years without any major problems. Several days ago it started to turn off by itself, leaving only red light on. After disconnecting from 220V and connecting again, it booted but after some 5 minutes or so turned off again. To make sure it is not power-supply unit I tried power-supply from another receiver and situation repeated. Than I decided to re-flash it (and that was probably my major mistake). After starting to re-flash process stopped somewhere in the middle and that is all. Of course, now, after connecting power only red lamp is on and nothing happens. I've already little bit reading somewhere about putty and serial cable.... Is that would be proper way where to look? Do I need crossover cable? And seems that I do not have any PCs at home with RS232 connector, I only have USB-Serial bit.
Appreciate some hints to know where to dig.Or, maybe somebody can physically help (Brussels, Aachen area).
