Dish size

Hi all just a quick question a friend has just bought a TM-5402 HD and will be going down to the south of France for a month (somewhere around the Nice area I think) and he has asked if I could find out what size dish he will need, So I wondered if we had any members who live in that area that could give any help.

Conflicting advice on this. Signal drops off sharply south of the Savoie Alps where a 60cm is ok.

For Nice an 80cm is minimum needed, but you might need a 100cm or even a 120cm.

Weak on a 1.2m dish. Probably need a 1.5m or 1.8m for reliable reception.
