which bootloader

Hi Peeps
I will shortly be getting one of these box's venton ECO+, before I install latest Vix image does anyone know if I have to install bootloader first.

in latest bootloaders for this box it is showing two one for venton hd1 and the other for venton hd 2-3 both of the same date .
I am unsure which one or any to use, thanks for any advise :confused::confused:.

Unless the bootloader specifically says it is for the ECO+ then do not use it unless you have 100 percent confirmation it is the correct one for your receiver. Flashing the wrong bootloader will kill the receiver to the point where it will require j-tagging to fix.

Also if the receiver is new you should not need a bootloader as it will come with the latest version preloaded from the factory.

Only use bootloaders intended for the UNiBOX eco+, the bootloaders for UNiBOX HDx is not intended for the UNiBOX eco+.
Always make shure it's the correct one before flashing.

Frakly, when it comes to bootloaders the best rule is "If it ain't broken, don't fix it!". If it goes wrong when flashing an bootloader you are in greath trubble, as you can't flash anything if the bootloader is broken. No image, no bootloader!

As long as the bootloader isn't brooken you can reflash an image even if the former flash of the image went wrong.

If you still need an bootloader, then the latest as of now is the "bootloader-unibox-hde-2014.09.24.zip" and you will find it at:
