Hi,

I have read a new UE model will be released.

When will world of satellite get the new models?

Due in approx 2-3 weeks.

It's not 4K, basically an upgrade in the CPU to the same CPU the VU+ Zero and the TM-Nano-SE use.

Doubtful you will see any 4k compatible models any time soon, the tech is just so new and will likely be very expensive for the first to adopt to the standard.

Hi just a quick question and sorry for jumping in late but my brother in-law has just bought one of these ultra boxes and i'm not sure which image to load for him as there only seem to be ones either for the 800 ue plus or the quad boxes, is the plus image the right one as it just seems to be a better processor in the new ultra but don't want to mess his box up before he gets a chance to play with it...

Thanks for the reply Sicilian, he was supposed to be buying a 800 ue plus but in his greater wisdom bought the newer box..Will the vix team be releasing an image for this box or is that not in the pipeline, and if not are there any recommended images out there yet please, cheers ..

Google would be your best bet. But non are as good as ViX imo.

Try ATV they seem to have images out for just about every thing, but be careful as they don't always boot test images on actual receivers, especially newer receivers. (I am not having a dig at ATV they do some very good work and are valuable partners and contributors to the OE-A but they don't adhere to the same strict protocols we do for new images).
