Cannot get any cable channels coming through, not even the the FTA

latest openvix installed by WOS

tried scanning on vm 6952, channels detected but just blank screens

tried downloading autobouquets but still nothing

totally stuck, have followed the guides with softcams for FTA but still no cable channels

can somebody please point me in the right direction:confused:

Below is a list of the FTA chanenls. If they are not working, there is a likely to be a signal issue. If you have used ABM or AB Cable, using a wrong region can cause this to happen too.

I always use step scan. You must also enable scanning of 6952 and 6887.

thanks for the info

carried out an automatic scan using correct network id on vm 6952. picked up 576 channels

Now have FTA channels on DVB-c listed above

You know you could have just used ABM?

is the autobouqets manager, i think i tried this, i am a complete newbie and i think i did not maybe see the channel listings

still getting to grips with openvix

i think i've been a bit naive about the capabilities of these receivers and rushed out and ordered one

Can you give some advice on how best to get some more channels, otherwise I think i might have to return this unit

Return a unit because of naivety?
Your questions have been asked hundreds/thousands of times on ths forum alone, answers also provided in way too many threads.
Have you even read the ViX manual? Available on http://openvix.co.uk
