Evening all, had a problem with the update to 149 last night so I reflashed and have updated this evening to 151. Now when I try to access the Vix section of the setup menu, the box crashes. All the other options seem to work.

Thansk for reporting. Probably related to the parental controls changes

Any suggestions? I don't really want to turn the parental controls off?

Does it crash if you set parental controls off?

Just turned parental controls off and I was able to access the menu without a crash. Parental controls are the problem perhaps, as you say Abu.

If you turn them back on now, does it still crash?
Checked with on & off on Solo2, same build no. & no crash here.

Yes, it crashes when parental controls are switched back on.

An aside, why don't you remove all adult channels? There is a line in Luke's xml if you remove comment, (remove the hash) you won't have any adult chanenls. obvioulsy nned to remove existing channels first.

Yes, it crashes when parental controls are switched back on.
Probably down to recent changes in parental control so, thanks for reporting.
Mine was an online update from 147 to 151, rather than your flash of 149 & online update to 151.
Hopefully tracked down & fixed soon.

A fix for this was committed just before build 152.

Evening all, I have updated to 152 this evening but I got a crash again after enabling parental controls. However it's only when I then try to access the Vix part of the menu. Crash report uploaded for you to view.

You will have to wait for the fixes to be implemented into the public image.

Apollodev 152 parenatal controls work fine.
Apollo152 does not .

EDIT:
You will be pleased to know that you will be able to lock the main menu too.
This issue affects all reciever, so editing thread title.

Hi All

I have the same issue here Using Vix Appollo build 152 on Gigablue Quad plus.
Tried a reflash with same result ie attempt to access to vix menu and crash occurred.
Removed parental controls and all ok.

And Great News Being Able To Lock Down The Main Menu...

Personally I don't agree. I just know the scumbags selling knock off boxes with so called gifts included are going to be well happy at a feature that basically allows them to lock down their "customers" boxes.

Seriously bad move in my opinion and one I had hoped I would never see while I was involved with the image.

As long as you've got access to the settings, PC can be overridden.

Anyway that only applies to people stupid enough to buy a box from a pirate fraternity, and then it will probably be a clone.
