box dead???

hi box has been running fine updated it last night today the screen is black no picture the box flashes red and green and wont work!!! can see picture if attatch red white yellow wire but not if hdmi is attatched? had it around 8 months now so is there anywhere to send to fix this pls cheers

Are you sure HDMI cable is fine and connected fully? Can you try another cable?

If it is only 8 months old, and faulty, it will be covered by guarantee. Speak to your retailer.

hdmi cable is fine plugged it into xbox looks like hdmi port has gone any ideas on if this is fixable please?

why reflash and use backups,would it not be better to start afresh and not use restore settings?

Because, everybody with a Technomate, myself included, who updated to 150 has had this problem.

I didn't have any issue on my 3 TMs. Twin seems to have the issue.

A fresh flash without restores is safe place to start from, especially when kernel changes are involved. OP has said he has done so. Receiver works using composite connection.

fresh reflashed and still only black screen tv recognises that hdmi is plugged in but no picture what so ever tried on a different tv and pic came up this time with a purple tinted picture but then after fresh reflash nothing does this mean the hdmi port has gone kaput? cheers

flashed 147 150 141 all fresh also restored an older backup from early appollo and still the same problems started after the 150 updte so hoping it hasnt goosed my box as not sure if technomate will fix or not

When you put the usb with the image in and start up the box, what, if anything appears on screen.
Is the flash completing and asking you to remove usb?

on my tv with hdmi connected nothing its just black tv recognises theres hdmi connected though i have video senders so send one of the kids upstairs to tell me when to press ok to flash it

This might sound like a daft question, but are you sure you have the right image downloaded for your box? I only ask as there seems to be quiet a few nano models in the download section.
Failing that I think you need to contact your retailer about returning it.

yep deffo know which image it runs perfectly fine through the video senders it is simply just the hdmi side that is just black screen

quick update rang technomate sent box off theyve repaired it now have it back hopefully all working :)
