Is there a way to use XBMC's own media player instead of the E2 one.
It is easier to use just use select and up down left and right and also as a settings menu's to alter the way files are played back.

nope, we can only use what vu give unfortunatley

Yes and as it's closed source there is almost nothing we can do to customise it.
