having always used vix on my boxes which does the job but with later images not been able to run without freezing maybe due to file size on old box, would different makers of images be smaller, strange when setting up new image 2 days ago i could not change setting from 720-1080p got blank screen :confused:
i presume all image in downloads work and feeds not down for maintenance?

ViX is actually one of the smaller leaner images as we tend to favor users adding their own plugins from the feeds where possible instead of including them prebuilt into the image (this is why we removed samba and nfs from the image in the first place).

The problem as I see it is that these low powered receivers are just not upto the task of running modern images, you could try using slightly older images see if they perform any better, as for using older ViX images only Apollo series images from about build 064 onwards still have access to the feeds (not sure of the exact build number so don't quote me on that).

Now there are a few posts on other forums where users have ripped the feeds from newer Apollo series images and copied them into older images, doing so will give you access to the feeds but be careful if you decide to go down that route as the plugins on the feeds are built for the latest kernel for that box and may not work properly or may cause issues for the receiver. Either way it's upto you but don't say we did not warn you if you do decide to try it.

was going to see if any image may work better and if so put it up for sale, hopefully the tm nano is as good :D

i presume if an internal cap had an issue it would also be on fta which works:D

There is no capacitor issue on the Solo, that only affected the early Duo's and was rectified when Vu+ replaced the faulty capacitors with surface mounted ones. Try Pli see if that works any better as they produce a very basic image, I would suggest ATV if you wanted something as close to ViX as possible but from all accounts they tend to throw every thing including the kitchen sink in their images.

Not at this moment in time but it is something we need to look into.

Have you tried ViX 3.0.808, the last build on v3.0? Its just a thought to see if it copes better with the older image, but you will lose the ability to use plugins, but if you're not fussed about that then I would seriously give it a try. [emoji4]

think i am losing the plot on apollo65 removed all boxes cables from cubby hole while i sealed a draughty flue, put everything back and is working normally same cable feed maybe different lan cable but i did try direct to box and no change:confused:forgot to mention went back to 1.35.
if it was a bad lan cable from 8 port network switch by putting feed into box should have stopped it or would box have needed a reboot which was not done:confused:
