hardrive setup newbie

just setup my vu+solo2 had a internal harddrive fitted do i still need usb stick in back of box for the epg or can i use internal one for epg and recording also the internal harddrive is showing as external is that correct as not sure whats mounted to what and do i have to set timers up first thanks

Store EPG to your HDD buddy.

Do not worry about the Hard Drive showing as External it will not affect how it works

No real need for a USB stick on a Solo2 with internal HDD.
Remove the USB, reboot & make sure the HDD is mounted correctly. Blue button -> ViX -> Mount Manager.
Recordings & EPG can go on the HDD & put picons on the flash memory.

Agreed, the only time I use a USB stick these days is where I dont have a HDD installed or on the rare occasion a couch flash fails or I need to test a USB flash.
