Vu+duo2 install hdd help

i want to take 2tb hard drive out of slybox +HD BOX will i need to format it and if i so where do i do it. does the duo2 format the drive for you 2. can i keep the stuff i have on the drive and watch it on duo2 can someone point me in the right direction thanks in advance

You won't be able to watch the Sky stuff on the duo2, I would advise plugging the drive into a windows PC and deleting all existing partions before installing into duo2, then you will be able to initialise it and format to ext3/4 in the duo2.

Ext3/4 is a file system used for Linux, like windows use NTFS/Fat32, hence format it in the Duo2.

This is not necessary, you can install the NTFS-3G plugin from the feeds and your box should be able to read and write on an NTFS formatted drive with no need to reformat it.
I did this over a year ago, login to your box with telnet and type:
opkg install ntfs-3g
The problem now is that the feeds aren´t working, maybe someone can post a link where to download it?
