View Full Version : skin going fuzzy vix night hd
Skin keeps going fuzzy? The top and bottom of the skin is fuzzy along with wherever the highlighted bar is too. Any idea why its doing this? Vix apollo 127

Try updating to latest build. Could also check your hdmi lead, to see if its fully in?
I put the latest build on and it was the same so I went back to 127. Hdmi cable is fine. Reset the skin and gui settings and it comes back ok again
Can you grab a hq screen shot in openwebif and post it so we can see what you mean?
Will do as soon as it happens again

How often does this happen? I only know one other person able to replicate this on another model. I've not been able to replicate.
Once or twice a day, reset gui sorts it but that's a pain

Are you aware of a reprodcueable way to cause it?
Not at the moment, it just appears to happen. Different times. It happened all last week but i was at work so I couldn't report those instances as the other half just reset skin. I will try some things to see if I can make it happen
I am only aware of one other instance where a user reported such a issue and it was never reproducible for any one else, nor were we able to discover what was causing it, it was just so random.
Well you can make that two now. Random, but regular. I will be trying a few things today to try and replicate it...

Still only two in over 5 years though, don't get me wrong I am not dismissing your claims but without a consistent way to reproduce your results there is almost no way we would be able to look into it.
To me it looks like a strange framebuffer issue.
i tried webif this morning. when i started playing i checked the skin and it went fuzzy. i have reset the skin to the white version and have tried to replicate it again via webif but it hasnt happened again at the minute. will keep you posted if there is anything else.

Come to think of it, the last time this happened was If I recall correctly with a TM box possibly even a Twin.
Looks like previous TM driver issues with FIB & SIB displaying transparency incorrectly before 1080 frame buffer issues even existed.
OP, can you propper screenshot current: Menu -> Information -> About & Menu -> Setup -> System -> A/V settings & upload them here.
open webif this morning

starting to go
took a screenshot of the menu you asked for

played a channel via webif and this happened

reset gui and skin is ok now even when using webif and playing a channel
Just gone fuzzy again. Totally random
I get exactly the same problem occasionaly.
I have a TM Twin as well.
Next time it happens, ill take the screen shot of it, and the settings.
Just gone fuzzy again. Totally random
It's looking more and more like a driver fault specific to the older TM models. we will update with more details as soon as we know whats going on our selves.

Hope these help.
Try changing refresh rate to multi, does the issue happen as often then?
It appears to be a driver issue, when this is triggered has anyone been streaming via webif?

Yes as i have posted earlier in this thread. I have used webif. Sometimes it makes the skin fuzzy, other times it doesn't. I've been on webif and everything Ok.randomly the skin goes fuzzy. Also when fast forwarding a recording it has an intermittent pause every couple of seconds for a couple of seconds.

I have exactly the same issues and have not used webif at all, it happens at random times but a re-boot solves it, mine is a TM-Twin as well
