Received brand new unit from.......today.

This is a gift for one of my sons and needed to be configured by this evening.

Not happy to find the handset inoperable.

Reported it and was promised an immediate email with instructions to change the code.

That was 3-4 hours ago.

Have left phone messages.

All a waste of time.

Expecting handsets to be checked prior to shipping is clearly an expectation too many.

Anyway, when inserting the batteries, the TV lights up Red and stays on for a couple of minutes.

Changing the batteries has the same effect.

I have seen that a method is:

Hold Keys 2+7 until TV lights Red

Press 'Help'

Enter '001'

Holding the key combination has no effect.

I tried on 2 other VU+ remotes.

They do light up Red but the rest does not seem to have any effect.

So, they stay set (002) for my Ultimo.

Any assistance will be gratefully received.

TIA

As per our telephone conversation we emailed you whilst you where on the phone to us, shortly afterwards I needed to leave the office, perhaps check your spam folder.

Instruction to change remote code are attached to this post.

We would not unpack and test remotes prior to shipping, if we did we'd be accused of shipping used receivers/remotes, think you'll find this is standard practice.

We'll now also not reply to both your PM and email to get your issue resolved.

Thank you.

I have not received the earlier email, unlike all the order emails which went to the same address and arrived ok.

I agree re checking the handsets until receiving, one that does not work.

Either way, as I've already described, the only time the LED comes on is when changing batteries.

The method described in the instructions does not work as holding 2+7 has no effect.

Thanks

I have also tried to reset my Ultimo handset to 001.

The LED comes on with 2+7

I press 'Help'

Enter '001'

Then the LED just stays on until I press a key and it goes out.

It is then still set to 002, for the Ultimo

The Ultimo remote may not work on the Duo, not 100% sure if the remote code can be changed to 0001 or not, it may not work.

I think you are right as I have 2 Ultimo remotes and neither will change.

Thank You
