Extract Recordings

Hi All,

I have got a couple of programs that I have recorded and want take them off my box to watch on my laptop. Can anybody shine any light on how to do this?

I assume you have a network connection to your box, that´s the easy way even if using a USB stick to move them can work too.

Mount the storage unit in the box where you have saved your recordings.
Then either view them direct or ftp them over to the computer for "off-line" watching later on.

Use VLC to watch since it supports the TS format.



If you don't understand how to do this, let us know if your box is reachable over a network from your computer, what OS you have on the computer and how much computer/networking skills you have.
The version of the VIX image in the box is also useful.
