Howdy y'all

I have a genuine Solo2, about 1.5yrs old.
It started giving problems couple months ago. First it gave "Tune failed"-messages now and then and
now when I got back from christmas holiday "Tune failed" was a permanent situation.

Dish is not a problem, tested with another box and signal is almost perfect.

I flashed latest Openvix and now the box has starting problems.
It powers up but on TV there is only the splash screen saying "Loading".

In logfiles I found this:

CPU 0 Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 0000009c, epc == e0face68, ra == e0e68c24

Any ideas how to fix this?
I have tried with older images too and they give same error.

Thanks

'15 years old', the Solo2 ain't that old, a couple years maybe!! Is it a genuine or a clone box? Usually with tune failed its to do with f connectors/cabling issues but you say you have tried via another sat box?

Put your Glasses on Andy it says 1.5 years :D

How many cables do you have connected have you tried doing a Fresh flash without any backups sometimes certain plug ins can give you problems try removing some if you have any fitted of course

I have tried with one, two and no cables connected.
Tried fresh flash with no backups, with new USB drive nothing but the upgrade files on it, disconnected HDD.

I just put my glasses on and re-read the log. There seems to be some kind of driver issue:

dvb_bcm7356: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel.
Disabling lock debugging due to kernel taint

Attached is the whole dmesg output.

Oh well.... I can't figure this out, time to take the original satellite box to use.
Funny how much dust things collect over two years time in storage.

What to do with dead Solo2? Nice box, could be nice to use as a case for media PC?
