ABM = AutoBouquetsMaker

What settings are you using for the provider details?
Are you sure you have used the correct NetID?
Can you explain a bit more by "not working"

simon123

im ussig virgin cable uk 6952 auto scan brought 529 channels up abm says time out in a few seconds

abu baniaz
11-01-15, 23:04
ABM will not work if you have told it to use the wrong NetID.

simon123

abu baniaz
11-01-15, 23:38
Tuner lock normally means wrong netID is being used. Are you sure you have the right one?

simon123
11-01-15, 23:49
yes auto tunner works fine it says westyorkshire 01 virgin uk in the menu

abu baniaz
11-01-15, 23:57
I don't know what you mean by auto tuner. You can use any NetID for a normal E2 scan, it will find the channels.

For ABM and AutoBouquets cable, you must use the correct NetID (unless you are in a pure area). You must find out what your NetID is. Best way is by checking engineers menu of your offical receiver.

Bradford westyorkshire 40961 Keighley westyorkshire 40961 there both right

What setting are you using in ABM? (You said it is using 00001 West Yorkshire above. You have to change it)
Did you save after selecting your region?

simon123
12-01-15, 00:13
Tuner type DVB-C
Confuration mode enabled
Network ID 00000

In your above post, you have described tuner configuration. That is fine, leave it as it is.

You must tell ABM what Net ID to use. Look at this screenshot, move down to area, keep pressing left until you get to 40961 (don't worry about name). Once you have selected 40961, press green for OK, This saves your settings.

Once you have told ABM what NetID to use, you can then scan using ABM.

Best way is by checking engineers menu of your offical receiver.

Or checking with your neighbours if you don't have one.

... but you should have one unless you intend to only watch the 4 unencrypted channels...

Just checked the 28/1/2015 4D (Based on OpenPLI) image. The ABM in that image although not most recent, it does have Cable as well as HD Terrestrial for the few regions people have provided data.

Which image are you on?

Another question, i'm trying to setup mgcam, i assume i can download these from plugins? does the mc_cfg file have to have special settings?

abu baniaz
02-02-15, 00:10
You can download the cam from plugins, but you have to provide your own config files. They have been posted on forum.

@Cactikid, all headend NetIDs are listed in ABM. We have not listed the individual towns/boroughs. Pretty sure somone posted them already.
