Need advice on what box to purchase?

Have Virgin Tivo with Virgin Broadband and telephone service and would like to by a box that will work with a cable service?

Have a look at the Mutant receiver, it has had some good reviews on the forum from owners of it.

You will only get FTA cable channels on non-official receivers.

Using an official VM card in a non-VM box is only possible with professional equipment.

Well I didn't know that, given that there are lots on here that have bought this box with a view to watching subscription channels from virgin that have stated using a legitimate viewing card also??

No one on this forum has ever posted information on how to use a VM card in a non-official VM box.
