Just bought a DM500s it lasted a day and the tuner went , sent it back.
Any info would be welcome thanks.

I'd go for the TM500Super, great quality receiver and genuine with full warranty, only £78 with free UK delivery from our sponsor http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Technomate-Linux-Receivers/TM500-Super

Great SD picture quality too ;)

personally i'd go for the TM600 as it has x3 usb ports for use with a external hdd to turn it into a fully functioning PVR. very good piece of kit. i have 2 my self.

Have to agree with Pheonix, for the small price diff, the 600 offers better value. O bought 6 of these for friend and family and all are happy bar one guy with an LCD TV as the PQ is very poor.

I see you have the dm518s , is it reliable .
I have been reading various posts on the tm500 , it seems that it has trouble running other images pli jade and Gemini 4.7 etc . I only had the DM500S for a day or so and it could run most of the images I tried on it .
Can the tm500 super run these images or is it just that some people can't configure /install them.:p

The TM boxes do not have the variety of teams developing images for them that you do with the DM boxes but having said that the 518 is a variant of an old box and the TM image will all you to do exactly the same as the DB.

You also now have more skin options with the TM.

The TM are a better option, they are not clones, have better components and power supply. What is the point of saving £30 only to have to replace the box in 12 - 18 months because the PSU has died and taken the box with it?

although i am a massive DM fan i do agree. the DM500 series has long since had it's day and it's time to let it die gracefully.
the best option is to go for the technomate

The TM500 has no PVR functionality that is on the TM600
