Hi all

Is there a way to get the vu duo power on off button to also turn tv on off.

What image are you using?
Try enabling HDMI CEC.
Menu -> Setup -> System -> HDMI CEC

Vix tried what you advised but no joy I mean when I put my duo in standby using the control box I want the tv also to go into stanby

Did you restart E2 after enabling HDMI CEC?

There are also VU+ RC's (I guess you have the old one with top left mute button) you can program for your TV set and control it with a separate on/off TV button and control volume, mute and AV.
