I have an 800 clone and I have a VU Duo. I would like to stream stuff that i have recorded on the VU to my 800. Has anyone done this\? is it possible?

Any tutorials would be apprciated.

Just to answer your question... If you use the new VIX 1.3 image, this has the nfs server installed. By default the /media/hdd is shared. You will just need to mount the nfs share on the dm800, and you can then use the hdd on the duo. I have create a line in the /etc/fstab that mounts this on boot (use your ip address of the duo):

192.168.0.150:/media/hdd /media/hdd nfs rsize=32768,wsize=32768,timeo=14,intr 0 0

Notice, that if you restart the duo, you will need to either restart the dm800, or telnet in and run "mount -a" command...

Yep this works a treat now when i press media button on my 800 (DE) i see all my recordings on my VU. sweet! :)

I didnt use this method though i just went in to the dream elite settings and edited the mount point. popped the vu ip address in and changed the directory to /media/hdd. it works wether i reboot or not.

Good stuff.
