The receiver is about 3-4m away and tbh the front display is practically pointless. Is there a different setting / Skin that can be used to improve the readability from a distance?

Thats the new front panel format from miraclebox. its set by there drivers so what ever image you use it will be no different. But its a great box besides from that.

Most of the new boxes have the same size OLED, HD2400, GI LX3, Atemio Nemesis. You could re-skins, see /usr/share/enigma2/display/skin_display.xml

I also see the option under Vix to upgrade the firmware of the Front Display Panel. Will this allow me to run more meaningful graphics on the front display?

That is only ever used if new front panel firmware is released.

Hello attached a display skin with slightly larger font
before the feed install a different skin
However, the contents do not replace rename folder!

Thanks - I see 10 different display skins here. Much better than the standard ones.

I have selected an alternative display skin and now the box won't boot completely. seems like some of these skins are not compatible or vetted properly.

Where are the settings stored on the box so that I can ftp in and switch it back to the default display skin?

Thanks, figured it out - back up and running. I am assuming that the reason why the box stalled during boot is probably due to the Mutant not having a temp sensor - poor software design.

Yes - followed the instructions on here, 9 different skins to choose from - think I ended using skin 3 or 4...

believe its the settings file where you can go in and change the panel skin that the box uses.
