Migrate settings from one receiver to another

Have a solo2 setup the way i want and have purchased a miracle box that will arrive tomorrow.

Can I simply use the solo2 settings in the miracle? - saves me spending hours setting up the new box.

Assume that both recovers are running the same version of VIX

No you can't use settings from one receiver to another unless it's the same make and model. You can manually transfer some .xml files from I e to the other but a settings backup would also restore plugins that may not be compatible due to kernel differences between the different receivers and that would cause untold problems.

Yes you can; I've done that literally hundreds of times.
Some hardware specific settings will of course not be applicable or not be set.

As Pheonix said: don't try to restore plugins though.
