View Full Version : [ViX_Misc] [Apollo 111] Crash whilst trying to download EPG data

I did an online update from 109 (working fine) to 111 and had several crashes whilst trying to download the EPG from OpenTV 28.2.

I restored back to defaults prior to doing an online update and then set ABM to ZZL's Sky UK (SD) and then setup automatic update of ABM. So it was a clean update (well best I could do when doing an online update).

I then proceeded to set EPG to download via OpenTV 28.2 and set update time, etc. I then tried downloading the EPG and it crashed.

Thinking it was a one-off, I tried several times to download EPG and it just keeps crashing. I even put box to sleep and deleted EPG.dat file from HDD and rebooted. Again, box crashes when trying to download EPG.

At this point, I have not done anything else (eg download plugins, etc) except for setting up ABM and setting up EPG.

Attached are several crash logs, and screen grab of EPG settings (which is how I normally set it).

I telnet in and init 4, deleted epg.dat and reboot then restored back to default settings on build 111 and setup ABM and EPG again and still it crashes whilst trying to download EPG, via OpenTV 28.2.

Are you wanting to download EPG data directly from satellite or from an internet database?

Yes, I hadn't touched skin so Vix Night I believe. All defaults and not doing anything else except for setting ABM and EPG to download via OpenTV 28.2 (satellite).

Same for me on a VU+ Duo (flashed to 109 then updated to 111).

The error also occurs when I try to update rytec or xepgdb providers.

Crashlog attached.

Feeds have been set to unstable while issue is being investigated.

Please do not update to 111.

Just done a CrossEPG Scan followed by a ABM Scan on my Duo2 without a problem using Apollo 111 and VIXBMC_1080 Skin for Satellite providers 28.2E

I have updated thread prefix and slightly altered title.

Rossi's HD skins are fine as they have EPG stuff hardcoded.

Fixed in build 112.Any idea when build 112 will be available and/or feeds set back to stable as I'm getting hassle of OH as she doesn't like the look of it (ie the default skin). Normally it's the Blue HD skin :D

do an update to 111 and after its rebooted put this xml file in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/skins/

and restart e2 again.
