What's up?

I'm a new user around here and was hoping I could find some help:
I'm thinking of purchasing satellite antenna and everything, and since I've no idea how to install or characterize anything in the antenna/LNB/etc, zone, I've dispatched a couple of requests for quotes.
I figured the most dramatic decision right now is what sort of STB I want and so I've done some reading and a couple of names kept coming up: VU+ and Dreambox.

I really cant tell whether or not this is what I need so I figured ill just ask those who do know :)

My main requirements:

supports 2 LNB's (that's the current setup I'm being offered)
PVR (preferably HDD, can also be on a USB)
support's HD
Real simple to use. I'm purchasing this one box for starters, and this box should be as easy as possible to work with, suitable for grannies ;)
Snappy. My current content supplier has a stupid system which is slow, unresponsive and down right frustrating.
Cheap. I don't mind having a clone as long as it is a reliable machine.

Nice to haves:

Can act as a upnp server.
I was reading about images and flashing and all sorts of sorcery... I'm in no state to go through all of this right now, but I would love to have the ability to get into it in the future.

And of course, do say so if there are other critical variables you think I missed.

Thanks!
Guttmann.
