Good Evening.
another new 1080 full-hd skin will be available in the next vix build/update (build108). under the section skins1080 will be ViXBMC_1080.
again inspriation from a few things and again the odd niggle or 2.. :)
PLEASE USE THE NEW OCRAM 400x240 SIZE PICONS WITH THIS.

Hi Rossi just a quick question can you only get this skin on the vix image??
It will be available to all teams who use the OE-A feeds, but it wont be 100 percent compatible with any other image unless either rossi or someone else takes the time to make it so. Also remember this is a 1080 skin so both your receiver and image must have the necessary support for the 1080 frame buffer or it just wont look rite.
Just trying this out on my Mutant I like it so far so good :thumbsup:

Might be the one for me fatty, although I do find the abm scanning a bit obtrusive at the top of the screen, bottom left would look good...

Very nice skin rossi nice and clear and i love all the little video quality and dolby icons!
Since installing this skin tho im having trouble with recordings, unsure wether its image or skin related issue but when playing back a show it doesnt give me the option to resume playback or start from the begining, it just jumps straight to resume.

when you set to percentage left on the right side the text has to be set to -8 to be able to see the 2-digit percentage on the right.

Channel name and description on channellist are ok,but on infobar cirilyc font doesnt appear,epg is "empty"

Subtitles appear in the middle of the screen with this (otherwise great) skin. Subs are in the correct position using other 1080 skins, like YouViX-Blue for example, which leads me to believe that it is skin specific.

another very nice skin. One thing I have noticed is that on the channel list screen which shows the now and next on the right hand side where it says playing now/playing next. The playing next is showing the same title as previous but different details. Not sure how to load picture of this. Wondered if anyone else has same problem, or maybe something in my settings. Was using VixGreen HD previously

type this command, grab -d -p screenshot.png and it will put a png in the tmp, copy this to your computer and upload it.

For screen shots, I just paste the following in my browser (changing x to make up IP address of receiver). You can then right click and save the picture.

Love this skin and the other HD skins, only downside for me is the time it takes to boot back up after software updates etc. Sometimes ten minutes and above. Is this normal

What Receiver are you using it on, as my Duo2 reboots in about 25 seconds when I restart GUI

Hi M8 solo 2. Used to be very quick on non HD skins, but now very slow. Gets stuck on screen '' nearly ready'' for ages. Could it be something in settings

It has been like this since very first flashing the HD image. Since then I have done one clean install and several upgrades, but it is always very slow to reboot. With ordinary images it was very fast. Other than speed problem image works perfectly

no such behavior here with my solo2, even my Ultimo only takes around 3 minutes to reboot with the HD skins in place, as I tested them all on friday when I made the skin preview threads.

here are 2 screenshots : 1st one has to be set at 0 and result is normal text but first digit is gone, starts disappearing at - 7

@Skippie, slightly different from your poist issues, but seems as if edges are missing.....
1. Can you turn off overscan on your TV?
2. If you cannot, adjust your OSD position. Resize/move until edges of OSd align with edges of screen.
Menu > Setup > System > USer Interface > Position Setup
Please ignore if not relevant.

This epg list is normal at 0% in other skins, so it has nothing to do with aligning issues

so the skin or e2 is counting this week as week.1 of 2015 as there are 4 days in 2015 this week

i will try the settings from there, the code is different in each to how you want the time/date/year displayed.
yep that was it, i was using a different bit of code to display the year which was displaying it by iso standards or something, its odd when you read about it.
its now set to display the actual year. :)

I tried all of the 1080 skins on my ultimo last Friday when I was creating the preview threads and every one of then fit perfectly. This is with a TV where over scan can not be disabled, but the OSD positioned as part of the F.I.W

Just tried all of them on my Duo2 without a problem Red/Blue/Purple/Green and now reverted back to VIXBMC_1080
The filebrowser-plugin starting panel is too small and the fonts too big. This makes the file selection difficult.
Once the file is picked up, it opens in the skin display and works fine. Can this be adjusted?
The skin ViXBMC_1080 itself is excellent!

This is a weird issue. Ive never come across this before. Im not too sure what to suggest atm mate.
@No.Trace, Could you post screenshot of A/V settings? Menu -> Setup -> System -> A/V Settings
UPDATE:
It doesn't look like it's a position setup problem, rather it's a scan/refresh rate issue.
Also, have you tried other settings on your TV like Set By Program, 16:9 or Auto for whatever HDMI input you're using?
Funny, every day learning something new. By mistake I pushed the button beside the menu button in my remote control. And the file list opened, as it should, in the ViXBMC_1080-skin, without any filebrowser plugin. So, this solves the problem, no plugin needed in filebrowsing.

I would set the aspect ratio to "Original" or "16:9" NOT "Just scan" or any of the other modes available on your model, then see what happens.
Also as an aside, if your model has it, in my opinion ( :) )you should set AVmode and Picture mode to THX to get the most accurate picture.
@No.Trace, On my Solo2 I don't have any problem with TV looking like that with VixBNC skin 1080 skin. I assume this happens to all 1080 HD skins?
I was, briefly, able to get screen to go off slightly similar to your problem and that was when I was changing mode from 720p to 1080p (but it then corrected itself).
Could you try doing a full usb flash (without settings restore) to latest build 115 wich has latest drivers. Obviously make a full backup before doing this so you can always go back to this if it makes no difference.
After doing a full usb re-flash (without settings restore) if you still have same problem screen pushed to the right then could you change your A/V settings to those listed in pics (try both settings).

i can not belive it ... now i did a reflash of my et4000 (not the solo2) and tried the skins (vixbmc and bello) on that box ...
and i got the same wrong skin also on that box ... whats that ? i tried the settings with 720p and 1080p but that even won't work.
Now i got back to the FullHD OpenPLI Skin ... but on that skin i am missing the vix-colored buttons on the info-panel an the update-icon also ;(

@No.Trace, I think it's TV and or other things related to that rather than your boxes.
Did you set refresh rate on both your boxes to multi when you were trying 720P and 1080P settings?
If you have a DVD/BluRay Player, can you take the HDMI lead out of back of BluRay Player and put that in back of either of your E2 boxes, leaving the side of cable that goes into back of TV in the same port (ie use the same port in back of TV for both BluRay player and your E2 boxes).
Also, can you clarify if your HDMI lead goes straight from E2 box to the TV and not via anything else like splitter/diverter or other AV equipment?

CU ...That's great. Weird how you had problems that no one else reported. Maybe problem affected some TV's or certain VU boxes. At least it's sorted now anyhow.

Emc is a closed source plugin if you want it skinned properly for the 1080 skins you may need to ask the plugins author to do it.

The problem is that most if not all plugins are currently skinned for the 720 frame buffer but need to be re skinned for the 1080 frame buffer to work properly with these skins.
Rossi has skinned quite a few of the most popular ones but there are still hundreds and thousands more to do and that's something that will take a long time, so we really need the plugin authors to step up and start doing it for them selves too., especially those plugins that are closed source.

Bug? I reflashed my Vu+Ultimo from Apollo 152 to 153 and restored the old settings & plugins.
Now the ViXBMC_1080 skin has lost the colour buttons in the lower bar of the channel list view. The colour buttons still work as usual (favourite, satellites etc) but they are not visible in the skin. They were still visible in Apollo 152.

Had a play with many different skins and this for me is the best, picons look impressive on my tv now, thanks guys!
I put this on 157 last night & was amazed at the quality, I used the recommended picons which are also used for the LCD. The only negative observation I can find is the font size in the LCD4Linux setup screen, it is much too small. This does not become critical though as I use the setup in the OpenWebif to edit the LCD.

one little bug: when the program name is too long in the next line it appears over the time.
one suggestion: align the channel name to the left (what do you think?).
another suggestion: rolling text in the infobar when it is too long.

I have tried a few skins in recent days to replace the default. What ca I say, WOW!!!, Confluence blows them all out of the water. Fantastic skin.

Re the 1080 Bello skin, how could I change the purple font in the bottom right for the "next" progamme to make it easier to read from a distance on the telly???? Somehow it looks fine in the pic but see on the telly...

Just noticed the date has gone next to the time on latest update .026

It has, but is not meant to adversely affect skins that have not been adapted to use new features.

This issue appears to be caused by the skin overriding the code and setting specific column widths and formats. I am not sure what I can do about this.

yes , but the image in the video is not vixbmc_1080 (or is it) ! i think it's ViXBMC Confluence 1080 , that's the one i'm using .:thumbsup:
yes ViXBMX_1080 doesn't have PIG
it was designed this way, you can see the TV screen through the OSD.

as dsayers said, you have to pull request it so the team will be able to check it and accept it if all ok :)

Considering the confluence skin was meant to mimic the kodi/xbmc look, would be nice to update it to add the work by DimitarCC for paging as well as the horizontal menus.

hi, i want to know, when changes are committed in github repo, are they directly available in openvix feeds?
skins can be updated automatically from system=>update or do we need to remove then install it again to get the new vixbmc changes?

The changes on github become available on a receiver (via feeds/software) after a release build is run. You cannot update the files from box directly, unless you have a script to fetch the updated file. You can always download the file and transfer to the receiver. If you had installeld or package was pre-installed, it will be updated automatically when you perform an update. There is no need to uninstall and then re-install.
The uninstall/re-install methodology is normally what the people using OpenATV and against performing updates advise. OpenATV normally run builds nightly, so their feeds get updated almost nightly. If you uninstall a package and then re-install it, you would re-install the latest version.
