How to set up Vu+Solo from Italy to Vancouver Canada

I moved to Canada and I am trying to set up remove my default setting from 1Hotbird to the local Nimiq or Echostar, I tried various ways (factory reset)to no avail, can this be done? do i need to install new software?...any help at all I'll appreciate it.

There shoukd be no need for a software change. You should check that your satellites.xml has the satellites in your part of the world listed. Easiest thing would be transfer a channel list from people in your new area.
