Im sure many of you who seen the thread Title e2bmc for Mut@nt HD2400 alpha is here
http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?42529-e2bmc-for-Mut-nt-HD2400-alpha-is-here
I thought i would put up my honest review of this.
Having downloaded the image onto my mutant it does take a while to boot up, some things i have tried so far.
After scanning the channels I used Dreamboxedit to load my bouquets see below for settings.
/etc/e2headless

One thing I have noticed is that upon selecting a bouquet the numbering starts at 1 for every bouquet so keying in channel 4 in the entertainment bouquet would give you ch4 and hitting 4 in the movies bouquet would give you Sky Greats, you cant jump to a entertainment channel from within the movies bouquet etc as you have to move to that bouquet.
Also no information is pulled apart from the channel and title of the channel you are viewing so the epg guide is empty.
The crossepg plugin has no effect.
Picons do work and appear on the left hand side of the info bar.
CCCam 3.0 worked for me allthru no information to tell you its working or not
So on the stb side of things theres not much to talk about very basic indeed.
On the xbmc side of things I did manage to get a patched version of Mashup working but was out of luck with the Plexbmc addon as was getting a script error, I did try this on my windows pc and the same error there.
I use myplex username to access my plex cloud account as in the Dreamplex plugin for enigma2 which works just fine.
I can say that it plays H264 ok and DTS-HD blurays ok but not VC1 encoded rips or anything with Dobly True HD, also will not play Bluray isos and also DVD-isos are dodgy also.
Also tried H265 which also failed which is not surprising.
I think i will be going back to OpenVixHD which supports Dreamplex.
I think a better alternative would be a separate xbmc box attached to the |Mutants HDMI-IN such as a INTEL NUC for xbmc content which you can access by pressing the context key on the remote, unless you can live with a mulitboot alternative.
Maybe in time the E2bmc image will be improved and the likes of blackhole, openpli and vix make there versions of it.
But not that impressed so far with E2bmc.
