dvb-c usb

Hello.
i bought a dvb-c usb for my vu solo2, but the usb drivers do not install as dependencies are not met.
i spoke to the retailer who said i need an apollo image before the kernal update. my question is what version did the kernal update happen on?
i'm using apollo 80

imo the manufacturer should update there stuff, not expect you to go back to older software
