I bought a new vu+ solo2 box a few weeks ago, with has a 500Gb internal disk.

I have only started to Config it now as my other subscription is running out.

I've put cccam and mgcamd on it and it works fine.

I had a load of issues trying to get mgcamd to work though and got several error messages; the box rebooted a number of times. I did a factory restore, and got mgcamd working in the end.

My problem is that I now can't store my Epg on the /hdd/media location; nor can I record anything. I think the may be a problem with the disk.

Any ideas how to verify this or fix the issue?

Try initialising the disk within the storage devices setup.

Hi,

I bought a VU+ solo2 box and tried to set it up today, I was told (on this site) that I could put my $ly hdd straight into this box, wrong as it is a 3.5 drive, I have put it in but it is not recognised, can anyone help?

Try formatting the drive in the box.
Menu -> Setup -> System -> Storage devices -> Initialisation.
You will lose everything on the HDD though, but it will be compatible with E2 boxes then.
