New Mobile

I am getting an upgrade tomorrow. I have Samsung S3 at the moment but i am getting an HTC Desire 610. My question if anyone can help is how do i transfer my contacts etc. From my old phone to the new one? Is there a simple method.

Copy contacts to SIM card and put SIM card from old phone into new phone then copy contacts to phone memory then put new SIM card in new phone then copy back to sim card

Save all your contacts to your Google account and then on your new mobile add your Google account and it will ask to download contacts.
