Solo 2 with Apollo 80 build

Just looking on the KingOfsat website and seeing the numerous frequency changes that take place wondered if I need to carry out regular service scans to pick these up..?

depends on the satellite, if you are only interested in those for 28.2 east aka sky uk, setup ABM (Autobouquetsmaker) for your local region and it will do it for you automatically.

Yes it is 28.2 and i do have ABM setup and working.

I might get told off for going off thread (only slightly tho...!) I have a very old (cheap when purchased) dish with a quad LNB.

Over the last few months I’ve spent a fair amount of money buying a solo 2 & solo se and think it’s about time this was upgraded - any suggestions what to go for, I don’t want motorised.

The Mk4 dishes perform better. However, I dont see a need to change it if your signal levels are fine.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Ive checked a few channels and its very random, some look very good and others very poor.

Wouldn't worry about the difference too much as some transponders are better than others, my installer mate uses cbs action as reference, he gets snr on that as close to 60 (mine is 58) as he can and that's about the best you can achieve.
