Hi,do you mean movies you have recorded on to hard drive?,if so have you tried yellow button i think when youve pressed the media button as it could just be showing a differant location,if that makes any sense.

How many storage devices do you have attached? What is your physical HDD mounted as?

There is no way a image update or even a full reflash can delete recorded content from the HDD. there are a few possibilities.

1. check to make sure your HDD is actually mounted (Blue button> ViX> Mounts manager)
2. Do you have the TSpanel plugin installed ? as this is known to cause mount point issues among other nasty things it does to the image.
3. Has your Hard disc failed ???.

Basically we need you to provide as much info about what has happened and what you have done since, before we could even try to start helping, without guessing and that helps no one, certainly not you.

You did not initialize the HDD i presume ? as thats akin to formatting it.

Is it just the movies or every thing on the drive ?, I have never seen a HDD loose content like this with a reflash as the process of flashing the image does not touch the HDD at all. I could signify a issue with the HDD it self though.

I cant see how that crash would account for the missing movies either to be honest. you say you have FTP'd into the receiver. but to which directory exactly ?.

skeggylad2

only is one directory with a shortcut to HDD thats were movies are normaly stored

I had a similar experience at the last weekend.
Because of another problem I had for one day PBenigma on my Duo2. Then I'm restore Openvix. After do this, all the recordings of the last 2 or 3 days (recorded with Apollo) were gone. Older and newer were still there. Gone were only the .ts files.

What did you expect to happen when you re-installed the image?
What did you backup before re-installing your image?
What did you do after installing the image?
What did you restore?

If you want it to use your your old settings/timers, surely you would have to restore them?

You can still do it if the device to which you saved these settings is still connected. No need for a reflash.
