Duo wont boot with hard drive installed

Hi my duo wont boot with harddrive installed its a 500gb its working fine on computer,just says starting on display, any ideas thanks

formatted in fat32 im guessing. use pc format ntfs then it will work fine but then format to ext 4 with duo

Try connecting to PC and totally removing all partitions.
