Recording issue

Has anyone come across an issue whe recording 2 consecutive programmes on the same channel. Let's say it was 10.00-10.30 then 10.30 -11. What I find happening is the first one records fine but the second one has onl recorded around only 5 seconds worth?

I had a similar issue yesterday when I recorded a football match and it only recorded an hours worth?

To add, I'm running Vix 77 with a external USB hard drive which has worked perfectly for over two years.

what softcam you running? use 2.3.0 or mgcamd
