Hi, Ive looked through the manual and tried the basics but so far i've not found a solution to my needs!....

I wondered if the box was capable of sending the one output signal to two screens using two formats? I have a flat screen that I would like to use hdmi & another older screen (crt) at the same time for the same output? with vix you either select hdmi or scart etc. I would like to use both outputs at the same time... is there any way this can happen? I am guessing not as I tried using a scart to phono adaptor to send the sound from the box to an old amp using phono but I got nothing as vix was set to hdmi. My old technomate worked well for my needs as it had good old rf in & outs... I understand I would need a modulator to convert scart to rf but if that then disables the hdmi output then i'm no further forward!... any advice help greatly appreciated.

My Quad Plus outputs HDMI, component video and composite video simultaneously. My Miraclebox twin outputs HDMI and composite video simultaneously. You could try using an HDMI lead and SCART lead (I assume the Octagon has SCART?) or phono video connection (yellow socket) to your flat screen TV and switch it between inputs to see if both video signals are present.

Octagon does support both Scart and HDMI out, go into A/V settings and set corret Scart output to suit your CRT TV, then save, then set back to HDMI.

You will need to test CVBS, RGB etc... depends what scart signal your old CRT will accept.
