Hi,

As per the title really, I'm looking for a way of having standard audio across all channels rather than NAR and keeping it that way, I've seached and changed a few setting in audio setup however no joy.

PS running latest Vix software.

Thanks
H

This very same question has been asked & answered several times.

The least you can do is tell us what settings you made & changed (tip: have a look at the autolanguage settings; that's where it must be done).

Just Menu, Setup, Settings, Auto Language Selection, 'Prefer Audio Track Stored By Service' SELECT NO and Green Button to Save. All Done.

That's one.
But afaik the narater tracks are always mpeg, whil normal sound is in AC3. So 'prefer AC3' should be the basic setting.

A lot of the sky uk channels are only in mpeg. Deselecting 'Prefer Audio Track Stored By Service' fixed it for me.

Strange?! What am I doing wrong? Must be something obvious that I cannot see!!

That can only be the case if you previously had selected the wrong audio track. And I can't imagine that to be the case,

Set audio language selection 1 to English if you wish English to be your preferred audio track. The receiver is not psychic.

Well that's a bit rubbish. It's got tarot cards?!

Thanks; back from the dog walk and setting it to English has done it. I did say it would be something obvious!

A good example of where this is very important is Euronews which has maybe 10 languages. If you were French you would set that as default rather than English!

I set options 2 and 3 as well. (2 = original and 3 = undetermined) as some channels don't show english audio, but it is there, as either orginal or undermined.

That is indeed the reason these settings have been implemented.

Thanks all. Really helpful as always.

As an idea for the dev's... They could be default settings (native Lang, original & undetermined) based on the language you select during the initial config of the software?

Just a thought.

Thanks again
