Solo 2 remote very slow and doesn't respond

Hi I have a major issue with my remote and it's annoying
Ever since I programed my remote to control my tv as well it's been really slow when using it to control the box
Now is doesn't even want to work 90% of the time
I tried new battery's so it's not that
I have tried all the vix images since 019 now 054
I hope there is a quick fix

In case you want to reset the configured TV set-up of your RCU.

1. Press 1 and 6 for three seconds until LED is on.
2. Press 9, 9, 6.
3. This will reverse the RCU into no configuration state.

I have tried this so now the remote is back to normal ( doesn't control the tv) but still same problem

You say it was OK. Are you using the same TV as you were when the remote worked ok?

When i had it on my samsung tv 2012 model it worked fine
About 2 months ago i had it set up on my panasonic plasma 2009 i think but i also set the remote to control the tv
The remote easnt as responsive but i could live with it
With in the last 2 weeks it got worst
Now its doesnt even want to respong 90% of the time
I reset the remote so it only controls the box snd flashed the latest vix 057 image

Also went into settings and tried all 4 remote setting no luck i think it made it even worst

Could it be a faulty remote? Are you able to use a universal/alternate remote to test this theory?

plasma glare?? my remote works fine on lcd tv when its under LG plasma its awful.try putting tv in stanby then try remote mine works perfect.i left solo² in front room under plasma for Mrs to strugle with and got a duo² on lcd tv for me

i think there has been a few posts about it iv'e not seen any fix except chage some settings on tv pic output. my m8 is a tv engineer and had never heard of it and until i
showed how it worked with plasma on standby or on a dark pic he didnt beleave it. does now though

I did read about taking tv off energy saving mode which i done and one about the sensor wich my tv doesnt have

Plasma interference is the problem. I had the same issue with my vu+solo2 and Panasonic plasma TV. What I did was to put a piece of black tape (approx 5mm x 10mm) on the top half of the remote sensor on the box, and that sorted it.

Ive put some tape on mine looks like its sorted it.i won't say anything and i'll see if other half notices tonight cheers

Not the best of pictures, but you should get the idea. The strip of tape is black and can't normally be seen. It's the camera flash that shows it up.37784

anybody know how I can change the mode for the RCU on the actually box itself, I believe you can set the vu+ solo2 to use the same mode/code as the RCU

iv tried using the remote itself by pressing 2 + 7 etc but doesn't work

It's in the settings
Menu/ settings / remote something like that
You have 4 diffrent settings
That's on vix but it is somewhere tho
