xp1000 - vu universal remote - problem

i have an xp1000 running apollo 43. i cant get my vu universal remote configured to work with the box (it works with my vu solo no problem)

does anyone know if this is a common issue or what i need to do to get it working or could it be a hardware problem at my side?

I have had the exact same problem. When I try and change the input device from default to vu the spinner loads and I have to turn the power button to get the box working again
