Hi,
2 is the difference? Serious now. Old DVB-T tuner is from LG and does not support DVB-T2. New DVB-T2 tuner is from Samsung and supports DVB-T2 and it can handle critical DVB-C signals a bit better then the old LG tuner. So new Samsung is a better choice.

Just to expand you can't recieve terrestrial HD channels with the T, only the T2

Just to be pedantic - you can't receive terrestrial HD channels in the UK without a DVB-T2 tuner, plus certain Scandinavian countries and Austria, Belgium. Other countries are fine with DVB-T tuners for the moment, although DVB-T2 is being adopted slowly and these tuners are backward compatible with DVB-T. I mention this only because DVB-T2 comes at a price premium and a more generally available DVB-T/C tuner may suit a particular situation.

As trial said the Samsung is supposed to be better with some cable frequencies.
